My new favorite for those with a creative streak and intermediate computer skills. Allows building from scratch, or changing provided templates. Upload your own photos, add document files, make a contact form or import html code for your emailer, collect email addresses, password protect pages for members only access, add e-commerce shopping cart for an extra but low fee. Extremely low monthly cost includes your own domain at no extra charge. DRAWBACKS? Need patience and an eye for design.
Almost the absolute best, with the prettiest and easiest to use templates that I've found so far. Subscriber lists can be easily segmented, ezines /other blast emails are stored, and can be duplicated and re-sent months and years later. Sign up boxes can be somewhat customized for your website with just a little html know-how, or simply copy and paste the provided code. Other marketing features can be added for additional cost. DRAWBACKS? The autoresponder feature allows just one campaign per account name at a time to be active, and no Word or pdf files can be attached to scheduled, automated email broadcasts.

Most well known site for constructing surveys -- you've probably taken one or more that I've done here. Once constructed, you can invite participants with a website or email link, or pop up. Paid membership includes charts and other features, but the free option allows up to 10 questions, and shows statistics for responses, which is really all you need.
Mike Dooley's famous Notes from the Universe can be installed on your website -- Free! Just copy the Java script code from the bottom of this page - http://www.tut.com/resources/notes/ -- and paste into your website. DRAWBACKS? Can be tricky to know how much space to leave for this widget to accommodate any length of quote. See below for an example.
Not for the super serious minded clinician, but fun for the rest of us. Choose your avatar or upload your own photo, record a greeting via your phone, and install to your website. Easy to do and really adds pizzaz to an otherwise conventional website. DRAWBACKS? Well, it may look a little cartoonish to the serious minded grown ups.

Everyone loves to take a quick quiz and find out something new about themselves or their situation. These can be great client attraction tools for your Resources page. With this tool you can create your own quiz and host it on your own website! When visitors take the quiz you and they get the results by email, so you can follow up. Developed especially as a webtool for coaches, and extremely useful for counselors and NDs, too! DRAWBACKS? Not great visual appeal, and may not be able to do a complex quiz format.

When you need to send attachments by autoresponder, this is the preferred vendor. Sign up boxes come in a wide variety of fun designs, most of which can be cutomized to fit the colors of your website with no html coding required. DRAWBACKS? Templates are limited and somewhat frustrating to work with. Photos and other graphics need to be hosted at Photobucket.com or another online host.
Easy for first timers who want to take client credit cards and process transactions quickly online with the virtual terminal. Funds are available almost immediately, and there's no cost to electronically transfer funds from PayPal to your bank account. Can also generate payment buttons to easily install on your website. Tech support by phone is very helpful. DRAWBACKS? $30 per month service fee plus transaction fees add up.
If your version of Word doesn't do this, you can turn your Word.doc article, tips sheet or e-book into a pdf file to preserve formatting and ease view-ability when created by a PC but sent to MACs. Free and paid versions. Shareware downloads and installs to work through the print function of your word processing program. DRAWBACKS? Takes a little space on your harddrive.

THE premier audio recording service for those who want to create audios without an audience (conference call providers require a minimum of 2 people on the line for the recording to work). With AudioAcrobat recordings can be done by phone or microphone through your computer. Resulting mp3 files can be posted to your website, integrated with PowerPoint slide shows for YouTube or website, or turned into CDs for sale. DRAWBACKS? Monthly fee will add up if you aren't recording constantly.
Very cool tool with community forum for your group members / students, progress tracking chart for the group and individuals, profile listings, and ability to attach one handout per session. DRAWBACKS? Basic in its visual design, but great in functionality for clients who need help in accountability.
